We are privileged to announce that China Construction Bank (New Zealand) Limited (CCB NZ) has obtained Net Carbonzero Certification issued by Toitū Envirocare on 30th May 2022.
CCB NZ is the first Chinese bank in New Zealand to become a Toitū Net Carbonzero Certified Organisation, which has demonstrated our efforts to set a positive example in the banking industry and help facilitate New Zealand's transition to a low carbon economy. This is also in line with the robust long-term Green Finance Strategy implemented by China Construction Bank Corporation (the Group) which stands at the forefront in promoting sustainable finance.
The accomplishment of the Toitū net Carbonzero Organisation Certification represents CCB NZ is positively contributing to the sustainability of the environment through actively measuring, managing and reducing the carbon footprint in accordance with ISO 14064-1, and fully offsetting the remaining operational emissions with high-quality carbon credits sourced from sustainable projects in New Zealand and China.
