Spread love and kindness with CCB Malaysia

Published time: 2020-11-24

CCB Malaysia has continued to spread love and kindness with another successfully CSR event being
organised in collaboration with Zoo Negara.  This event was co-hosted by China Cultural Centre,
Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with “Malaysia-China Culture and Tourism Month - Fun with the Nature”
where 25 children from the Malaysian Charity Institution BRDB Rotary Children's Residence (“BRCR”)
visited Zoo Negara, accompanied by the staff of China Construction Bank Malaysia.

The children were so excited to see animals in the zoo, especially the newly added member of Zoo
Negara, “Yiyi”, a gift from China which symbolises the friendship between Malaysia and China.
Most children have never seen panda before, hence the “Panda stadium” is the children's favourite
place in this tour where children were eagerly queuing at the gate waiting for their turn to say
“hi” to the clumsy and playful panda.

"Wow, pandas are really cute! ", " This is the first time I see a giant panda", " Uncle and aunty,
can I come to visit her again?” - Children were so excitedly whispering among themselves, to share
the excitement of first-time meeting a giant panda. Children also left their good wishes for "Yiyi"
in the message area after knowing that “Yiyi” will soon be sending back to China.

In addition to the wonderful experience to see wildlife in the zoo, children were given a chance
to join the Chinese cultural performance and activities at the designated corner of “Malaysia-China
Culture and Tourism Month - Fun with the Nature” during the session. In this corner, they learned
the art of Chinese paper-cutting, participated in Chinese folk games such as pulling bells and
Chinese ink painting using the brush, a product of poverty alleviation initiated by CCB Malaysia and
other overseas institutions. The never-ending surprises include the live show of Chinese culture and
art, such as face changing, Chinese zither and martial arts. The children gave it the thumbs up for
the great show that they have enjoyed tremendously!

Happiness for kinds is simple and straight forward, it clearly shows on their cute faces. The children
from BRCR even compiled a simple video to thank CCB Malaysia’s staff for organizing a wonderful
charitable event and spent a wonderful weekend with them. Besides bringing the children to
appreciate wildlife and bring them closer to the nature, this event also let them experience to
appreciate the Chinese culture.

CCB Malaysia has two Tier 1 institutions i.e. China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad established
in 2016 and China Construction Bank Labuan branch established in 2019 with more than 100 staff
members.CCB Malaysia is committed to fulfil its corporate social responsibility. In May 2020, CCB

being introduced to the Malaysian market, average video views per episode reached more than a
hundred thousand. This interview series was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming at
providing a better understanding of Malaysian and Chinese culture for Malaysian.
