Joint Initiatives of CCB Malaysia and CCB Labuan Branch Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (“CCBM”) and China Construction Bank Corporation Labuan Branch (“CCBL”) continue to be committed in battling the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).  

 

CCBM and CCBL (collectively “the Bank”) have taken the following initiative to combat the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and activated a relief exercise to assist customers experiencing financial difficulties arising from the outbreak.  

 

1.The Bank is prepared to consider granting a moratorium of up to six months for monthly instalment payments of loans to existing customers affected by COVID-19 outbreak. Affected customers can approach the Bank to discuss and reschedule their payment arrangements. The moratorium will be granted by the Bank after considering all the prevailing factors and circumstances. 

 

2.Targeted measures such as priority loan processing and lower lending rates may be offered to customers engaging in the business of manufacturing or trading of medical devices or medical supplies as well as those involve in scientific research and development of medical sciences in supporting the relief effort relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. The provision of the targeted measures is subject to assessments by the Bank.

 

The Bank acknowledges that the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has impacted not only the Malaysian economy but has also affected businesses globally. As a financial partner of local businesses, the Bank is committed to support customers in this challenging time and is prepared to extend assistance to affected customers where we can.
