Fees Waiver for Remittances / Funds Transfer

Kuala Lumpur, Thursday, 29th January 2020 – With immediate effect, China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad and China Construction Bank Labuan Branch will waive all fees for the following remittances or funds transfers:

 

1.  Remittances or funds transfer to Mainland China (regardless of its purpose);

 

2.  Remittances or funds transfer to other countries (other than Mainland China) for the purpose of  supporting the relief efforts relating to the outbreak of Coronavirus; and

 

3.  Remittances or funds transfer within Malaysia for the purpose of supporting the relief efforts relating to the outbreak of Coronavirus. 

 

The Fees Waiver will take effect from 29th January 2020 until otherwise informed by the Bank.

What are the fees that will be waived?

 

All fees relating to remittances or fund transfers (fall within the category specified in 2 below) will be waived. This includes, the charges imposed by the correspondent bank for outward foreign currency remittances under “OUR”.

Is the Fees Waiver applicable to all outward remittances or fund transfers?

The Fees Waiver will be applicable to the following remittances or fund transfers:

 

1. Remittances or fund transfers to Mainland China (regardless of its purpose);

2. Remittances or fund transfers to other countries (other than Mainland China) for the purpose of supporting the relief efforts relating to the outbreak of Coronavirus; and

3. Remittances or fund transfers within Malaysia for the purpose of supporting the relief efforts relating to the outbreak of Coronavirus.

What is the effective date and validity period of the Fees Waiver?

 

 

The Fees Waiver is to take effect from 29th January 2020 until otherwise informed by the Bank.

Do I need to provide supporting documents to the Bank if the purpose of such remittances or fund transfers is to support the relief efforts relating to the outbreak of Coronavirus?
