CCB Dragon Credit Cards Win 8 Yearly Titles

In 2007, CCB’s credit card business achieved sound and rapid development.  Lately, CCB was successively bestowed with honours respectively from China UnionPay and Mastercard International in recognition of the performance of its credit card business in 2007.  While Dragon Credit Card was recognised as the “Best Business Card 2007” by Mastercard International, the Dragon Number Card series and the Dragon Famous City Card series were respectively honoured with the “Best Co-branded Card 2007” and the “Best Product Design 2007” awards.  From China UnionPay, CCB received the “Bank Card Sector Development Achievement Award 2007" and the “UnionPay Standard Travel Card Promotion Award 2007”.

In the recently announced “Huaxia Wealth Management Overall Ranking 2007”, CCB’s Dragon Credit Card won the highest of six credit card awards: the “Most Revered Credit Card Award 2007”.  CCB Diamond Credit Card, on the other hand, won the “Most Luxurious Credit Card Award 2007”.  Huaxia Wealth Management Overall Ranking was initiated by Huaxia Times and Huaxia Wealth Management Weekly.  Ranking was made through online questionnaire survey via Sina Net, Huaxia Net and China Financial Planning Net.  Areas covered by the survey included service quality of issuing banks; the level of personification in credit card use; the convenience of seeking response to customer needs from the banks or service personnel; the enthusiasm of service personnel; and the level of personification in the services offered, etc.  Awards were decided by combining polling results with the opinions of a professional judging panel.  All in all, the whole assessment process was watched with keen interests by domestic media such as the Sina Net.

Dragon Credit Card has also been acclaimed “Most Powerful Credit Card 2007” in the Assessment of Wealth Management Products 2007 jointly conducted by a number of influential media from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou: the Galaxy Asset Management Weekly, A-money Net, Beijing Youth Daily and Guangzhou Daily.  In this assessment activity, professionals as well as the average investors are involved and Dragon Credit Card is able to emerge as the winner from numerous well established credit card products.

It is understood that CCB is paying a great deal of attention to the development of its credit card business, which is one of its bank-wide strategic businesses.  Since CCB issued its dual currency credit card in August 2008, a concerted effort has been made throughout the bank to take full advantage of its customer base and marketing channels to market and promote its credit cards so as to gradually build up the market presence of the Dragon Credit Card brand name.  Concurrently, the pace of innovation and advancement of key products and key business areas has been accelerated in order to boost the market competitiveness of its credit card business.  Besides, by embracing a customer focussed service philosophy, CCB is continuously raising customer satisfaction by quickening the pace of infrastructure construction, improving processes and substantially enhancing basic operating capabilities and risk management capabilities.  As a result, its credit card business has experienced leap-and-bound development, with all key business indicators doubling from year to year while asset quality remains sound.  In other words, it has achieved simultaneous increase in business size, quality and benefits.  As at December 31st 2007, CCB has issued a net number of 12.6 million credit cards while all business indicators were at an all-time high.
