It will now be more convenient for holders of CCB wealth management cards to go to the US for business or for pleasure.  This is so because the scope of cooperation between CCB and Bank of America (BOA) in the area of ATM which was started in 2006 has further been expanded with BOA’s acquisition of LaSalle Bank.  It will now include also LaSalle customers and ATMs.

In 2006, as one of the initiatives of their strategic partnership, both CCB and BOA started offering ATM services to the customers of the other party respectively in China and the US.  Hence holders of CCB wealth management cards can make free cash withdrawals at any of the 17,000 BOA ATMs deployed globally.  Currently more than three millions of CCB wealth management cardholders are enjoying this benefit.  Concurrently, holders of BOA debit cards or ATM cards can also make free cash withdrawals from any of the 17,000 or so CCB ATMs which are offering services to foreign currency cards.

With the present expansion of the scope of cooperation between CCB and BOA, holders of CCB wealth management cards can make free cash withdrawals at 17,000 BOA ATMs as well as at 1,500 LaSalle Bank ATMs which are mainly located in Chicago, Illinois, Detroit and Michigan.  Such an expansion of the service scope will therefore offer these customers with more convenient services in these locations.

Since the signing of their strategic partnership agreement two years ago, CCB and BOA have carried out cooperation projects in corporate governance, risk management, personal banking, global fund services and IT.  In addition, they are continually seeking other timely cooperation opportunities that will boost their strengths and enhance service quality.  The current cooperation in ATM services is another achievement on the part of CCB in implementing its “customer focussed” operating concept and results in its multitude of customers enjoying the personalised services of a truly world-class commercial bank.
